The substantive program during LabNL is not only formed by seminars with lectures. We want to offer more short practical sessions that will immediately benefit the visitor in his or her daily work. And with more than enough time left for a visit to the exhibition floor.
We have now given substance to a number of sessions. The workshop 'the first steps towards a lean laboratory' and the workshop 'ergonomics and physical strain' are on the program on Tuesday, September 26.
The workshop 'the first steps towards a lean laboratory' is given by Geanne Sterenberg from UMC Utrecht. She has years of experience with lean processes at the UMC Utrecht, including in the hospital laboratories. She brings this experience into the workshop.
During this workshop, laboratory technicians and lab managers learn the basics of lean and what it can mean for their own working environment. What advantages does this way of working have?
Geanne explains the five basic principles of lean and provides examples from daily practice in the laboratory.
The workshop 'ergonomics and physical strain' is given by a familiar face, especially among LabSafety participants and visitors, namely Iris in 't Leven. Iris has been providing training on ergonomics for Avans+ for years and will guide a short session for LabNL with the most important tips & tricks in this area.
