Project Aqualysis: low-purity nitrogen for LC MS systems

At Aqualysis, nitrogen consumption increased due to the deployment of new LC MS systems.

For this application, low-purity nitrogen was required with constant availability. The existing situation with liquid nitrogen required regular refilling. This resulted in additional handling and could pose a risk of interrupting analysis runs.

Avilo recommended a solution with a SuperFluxx nitrogen generator based on membrane technology. This produces nitrogen directly on-site and meets the purity requirements of the LC MS systems.

The compressed air supply was also included in the solution. By using two compressors, nitrogen production remains available during maintenance or in the event of a malfunction.

For Aqualysis, this means more control over the nitrogen supply and less dependence on liquid nitrogen.
