Workshop
Unlocking Sustainable Innovation in Laboratories:
Building Customer–Supplier Partnerships for Sustainable Lab Solutions
This seminar will be presented in English.
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Achieving more sustainable laboratory practices requires more than conscious behavior or innovative products alone, it requires stronger collaboration across the value chain. A major barrier to the adoption of sustainable laboratory solutions is the disconnect between customers and suppliers.
Following up on the Green Science Festival, in this interactive workshop, participants will take the next step in exploring how new forms of collaboration can accelerate the development and implementation of sustainable laboratory disposables. Using products identified through a hotspot analysis as case studies, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders will jointly identify opportunities for innovation and discuss how partnerships can be structured to bring these solutions to market.
Guided by Dr. Maike Tietschert, participants will work together to develop practical collaboration models, including approaches such as pre-commercial procurement, co-development initiatives, and other innovation partnerships. The workshop aims to create a shared understanding of needs and possibilities, stimulate new connections, and identify concrete pathways towards more sustainable laboratory practices.
Organized by Green Labs NL and guided by Dr. Maike Tietschert
