Elbflorace’s 2023 Season: Driven to Win

Final Report

The Formula Student team “Elbflorace” from the Technical University of Dresden was founded in 2008. In 2011, the team transitioned from the conventional combustion engine to the electric drive, which is still in use today, and since 2021, has also integrated a driverless system.

The EFR15ed03 season achieved impressive successes, highlighting our skills and dedication. At FS Netherlands, we secured 3rd place in Engineering Design. At FS East, we delivered outstanding performances, earning 2nd place in the Skid Pad DV, TrackDrive DV, Efficiency DV, and Business Plan DV categories, which led us to achieve 3rd place overall. We also positioned ourselves as strong competitors at FS AlpeAdria, securing 2nd place in the Business Plan Presentation and 3rd place in the Engineering Design and Acceleration categories.

Our successes would not have been possible without the support of our long-time sponsor, Eurocircuits. Eurocircuits significantly contributed by manufacturing our self-developed circuit boards. This season, they were indispensable for the realization of critical components such as our Smart Sensorboard and our Power Distribution Unit. Their expertise and reliability have made a significant contribution to our success. Therefore, we would like to express our sincere thanks to Eurocircuits for their generous support.
