The xRAN Testbed provides a high-performance tool to prototype and research next-generation radio access network technology. With software defined radio (SDR) hardware and a full 5G NR protocol stack, you can go beyond software simulation to real-world experiments and gain a true understanding of system behavior and performance.

  • The full-stack, end-to-end link is comprised of core network, gNB, and UE hardware and software components. 
  • Ettus USRP X410 software defined radio (SDR) delivers 7.2 GHz frequency coverage, 400 MHz bandwidth, and 4 TX and 4 RX channels for PHY processing and RF. 
  • Reference IP provides a functional 3GPP-compliant link to get started quickly with a 5G NR SA TDD FR1 system.  
  • FPGA acceleration enables the high-throughput L1 implementation with PXIe-7902 FlexRIO Coprocessor and PXIe-7915 PXI High-Speed Serial Instrument.
