Post Eurocircuits Event Review 2023

The most successful season in the club’s history thanks to the support of Eurocircuits.
Fast Forest is the Formula Student team of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology. The season started in early July in the Alps at FS Switzerland. Among the mountainous landscape, we secured a place in the finals of the Engineering Design event, finishing in 2nd place. In the dynamic events, we finished 2nd in both SkidPad and Autocross. In the acceleration event, Jenny 13GDX impressed by securing 1st place. These strong performances led to a 2nd place overall finish.

In early August, the Fast Forest team competed at FS Czech, where Jenny had to master autonomous disciplines. A 1st place in Trackdrive, a 2nd place in Engineering Design, and two 3rd places in SkidPad and Autocross earned the team its first overall victory since the club’s founding in 2008. The years of development in the driverless team finally paid off, and the entire team was proud of their work.

Immediately afterward, the team had to prove themselves at the season’s final event, Formula Student Germany. Here too, the autonomous Jenny impressed with a 3rd place finish in autonomous Autocross.

Overall, this season, with a total of 10 individual awards and 2 overall prizes, was indescribable, and we are all highly motivated and looking forward to the future.

We couldn’t have achieved these successes without a reliable electronic system. The team relies on high-quality PCBs, particularly in the accumulator and inverter. Any error in the Battery Management System or power electronics would mean disqualification from the events.

We are very grateful to have Eurocircuits as a strong partner and will continue to rely on their excellent PCB manufacturing in the 2024 season.
