The Lions Racing Team is once again thankful for Eurocircuits’ support! We are developing an almost entirely new electrical system ⚡️ — from the High Voltage system’s inverters and accumulator to the entire Low Voltage system — for our fully electric Formula Student racecar. All of these components require us to design custom PCBs, making Eurocircuits an important partner in our development. 🤝

As you can see in our pictures, the new traction inverters we are currently testing represent a significant advancement in packaging efficiency. They are a fraction of the size and weight of the off-the-shelf unit we previously used, while also providing improved control over the power delivered to our hub motors. ⚙️

Most of the LV system PCBs have been newly developed from scratch. They now follow a standardized form factor and are housed in a common enclosure, which allows for easier access during debugging and simplifies the overall wiring.

Having professional partners to manufacture critical components — such as the dozens of high-quality circuit boards we require — is what enables us to turn our vision into reality. 🦁🚀💡
