During this presentation, we will take you along on Core-Vision’s journey with cocotb.
You will learn what cocotb is, where it excels, and when traditional approaches may be more suitable. Based on hands-on experience, we highlight several pitfalls and limitations.
The installation of cocotb and getting it to work with your favorite simulator can be quite a challenge. Once you get it to work, the performance may become a bottleneck and can be significantly improved when certain rules/improvements are taken into account.
Through these lessons learned we will show how to partition the testbench between Python and RTL and use 3rd party libraries to support your verification.
