Open Industry 4.0 Alliance
Woensdag 25 september 13:30 – 16:30
Locatie: Feringa Seminarzaal in World of Industry (hal 11)

Exploring Digital Twins
The digital twin is seen as having almost infinite potential. It is expected to optimize production, increase
efficiency along the value chain, enable completely new digital business models, and allow simple, efficient,
and cost-effective interoperability through cross-company data use. But how does implementing something
like this look like in the reality of a multivendor industry setup? Which benefits actually result from its use?
What are the use cases to start with? And why, how and where does the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) in
particular play such a vital role for Digital Twins?
Insights from the AAS Hackathon at FESTO Delft
This presentation will showcase key insights and developments from the AAS Hackathon held at FESTO’s Delft premises earlier this year. Participants collaborated to explore the Asset Administration Shell (AAS), a digital representation of physical assets that standardizes the description and management of both tangible and intangible assets in connected industrial systems. In addition to the Hackathon track, the management track focused on discussing the benefits and practical implementations of the AAS framework.
How to realize a Digital Twin Vision for Process Automation
Our Northstar, how we could help our customers improving their processes, is clearly in our digital twin vision. Realization for entire plant lifecycles is not an easy journey. Get insights on the key elements, iterations to reach valuable goals and see first successful results – such as Instrumentation Management with Digital Twin.
Aligned specifications for the asset life cycle of the process industry
Introducing DEXPI within the framework of NAMUR and AAS, while taking into account important specifications from CFIHOS and USPI. Our goal is to provide a well-rounded perspective that highlights the relevance and interoperability of DEXPI with these international standards, emphasizing how they collectively contribute to advancing digitalization and standardization efforts in the area of process industry.
The Manufacturing-X initiative for digitalizing supply chains in the industry
Introduction and overview of cross-country initiatives, to push digitalization among european countries to strengthen collaboration in the future trends of industry 4.0.
