ProTek Devices has unveiled its 8.0SMDJ Series of transient voltage suppressor (TVS) components, designed to provide board-level circuit protection for TTL and MOS bus line applications, including communications equipment, control systems, and power supplies. The series helps protect against electrostatic discharge (ESD), lightning-related transients, and switching surges.

Main features

  • Delivers 8,000 Watt of peak pulse power per line (10/1000 µs)
  • Features a glass-passivated chip and leakage current below 5 µA at a minimum breakdown voltage above 22V
  • Available in unidirectional and bidirectional configurations, with voltages ranging from 12V to 90V
  • Offers fast response time, low incremental surge resistance, and clamping capability
  • Complies with RoHS (exemption 7a) and halogen-free requirements
  • Meets IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) requirements of ±30kV for air and contact discharge, as well as IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT) and IEC 61000-4-5 (surge) standards
