Exhibitor newsletter World of Electronics 8-2-2024
Now is the time to sign up for WoTS 2024
The visitors of the World of Industry, Technology & Science visit the trade fair for knowledge, solutions and innovations. The WoTS is the trade fair on which you present your solutions to a widely interested audience; full of potential possibilities. How do you get in touch with visitors who don’t know you yet?
Share your knowledge, show your expertise and show yourself by giving a workshop or presentation on the exhibition floor or participate in an exhibition project in which visitors come to your stand in a targeted manner. The WoTS offers many possibilities to get in touch with new customers!
Now is the time to register as an exhibitor. If you register now, you are still in time to think about the content and to participate in the exhibition projects and seminars. All consultations will take place this month and the lectures will be distributed. Below you can read more about the possibilities that the WoTS offers you.
Meet your new customers, share your knowledge and show your expertise at the WoTS. View the website for the available stands and register. Show who you are, your company should not be missing!
Share your expertise in one of the World of Electronics seminars
The substantive presentations are a popular and appreciated part of the WoTS. Together with the exhibitors, we organize seminars around current themes worldwide. Are you considering giving a presentation during the fair, or would you like to know more about the possibilities? We would like to invite you to attend the first seminar meetings for the World of Electronics.
During the consultations, which take place via Teams, the exhibitors mutually determine the content of the lectures. If you plan to participate in a seminar, we recommend that you participate in these consultations. Your opinion partly determines the interpretation of the program! Below you can see the planning of the seminar meetings. All meetings take place digitally via Microsoft Teams.
Internet of Things, the challenges and applications
In this seminar we highlight the challenges and the broad scope of the Internet of Things (IoT). The focus is on practical examples and cases for new / complex application areas and the associated challenges.
Date: Wednesday 14 February 10.00 – 11.30
Register: marc.berkouwer@fhi.nl
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
In the past year, there was an explosion of new applications around artificial intelligence (AI). It started with platforms such as ChatGPT and meanwhile the business community is experimenting with generative AI that creates something itself based on an assignment. Powerful chips are required to store and process the data and preferably as small as possible. In this new seminar we will discuss the role of electronics (hardware and embedded software) within AI.
Date: follows
Registration: melvin.brink@fhi.nland marc.berkouwer@fhi.nl
(Embedded) Software Design
The share of software in the development process is often underestimated. This seminar informs engineers and users of embedded software about the possibilities and challenges in the design of (embedded) software for products, devices or machines. The software largely determines the functionality of products. Important issues can be: how do I keep the software up-to-date remotely and what about traceability, lifespan, reliability and quality management?
Date: Thursday February 15 10.00 – 11.30
Registration: melvin.brink@fhi.nl
Circularity
A circular economy counteracts environmental pollution. The aim is to extend the life of products and reuse all materials without producing waste. For electronics, this means reducing the extraction of new raw materials, extending the life of products and minimizing waste and pollution. How we, as an entire electronics industry from design to production, can and must legally contribute to the circular economy is the subject of this seminar.
Date: Wednesday 14 February 13.00 – 14.30
Register: marc.berkouwer@fhi.nl
We would like to see you via Teams at one of the seminar meetings.
Trade fair gadget chosen, register as sponsor / partner
Every edition it is a big crowd puller for the WoTS: the exhibition gadget. Visitors collect various parts and components on the exhibition floor in order to assemble their own gadget. The gadget is different every edition and is conceived in collaboration with the participating companies. This year, the innovation ‘ Environment monitor ’ of KITT Engineering was chosen.
The idea arose from the idea of measuring Nitrogen oxides (NOx). This proved difficult to measure given the low concentrations. It has therefore been decided to convert the gadget to a ‘ environment monitor ’, which can measure parameters such as temperature, moisture, sound, PM2.5, VOC, both outside and inside. The ambition is that the gadget, after it has been collected and commissioned, will send data to a public platform.
The BOM and the block diagram are now known and shared with interested parties. If you would like to be involved in this innovative and functional gadget, please register via Melvin Brink. Participation in the exhibition gadget means extra visitors at your stand during the fair!
