From experienced specialist to master craftsman

In the technology sector, craftsmanship is aging. Experienced professionals and specialists possess knowledge that is not written down anywhere. Transferring that knowledge to new and younger colleagues is crucial for the continuity of your organization. But having knowledge is different from transferring knowledge.

In this training, you will learn how to effectively share your experience: guiding, instructing, and motivating colleagues in a way that suits their learning style. By doing so, you build a culture where experience is passed on and talent develops faster.

  • Your role and responsibility as a mentor
  • Instructing and guiding colleagues in the workplace
  • Dealing with different learning styles and preferences
  • Providing feedback and discussing progress
  • Dealing with resistance and difficult situations

For whom

This training has been developed for experienced professionals and specialists in the technology sector who take on, or wish to take on, a mentoring role for new or younger colleagues.

Program

Me as a mentor: your qualities, your role, and the phases in the mentoring process. What kind of mentor are you?

Guiding colleagues: goal-oriented instruction, motivation, and onboarding. How do you effectively get from goal to result? Conducting a conversation with attention to the other person.

Dealing with various situations: recognizing and managing resistance. Addressing behavior. Discussing progress and results and providing feedback.

Result

After this training, you will guide new and younger colleagues more effectively, transfer professional knowledge in a more targeted way, and conduct conversations with greater confidence regarding progress, behavior, and development.
