Laboratory Technology

  • Systematically detect contaminants and defects
  • Working reliably in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
  • Understanding materials, defects, and analysis techniques

A laboratory revolves around reliability: from correctly recorded results to the right technique for the right question. Yet, in many organizations, there is a lack of shared knowledge between the lab and procurement, between the analyst and R&D, and between those working in the lab and those working around it. The Laboratory Technology track at the FHI Academy builds this knowledge, from basic to a specialist level.

Whether you work at an organization in the laboratory sector without a lab background, want to work reliably and traceably as an analyst, or want to understand material behavior and analytical techniques as a buyer or R&D employee: the learning track offers suitable training for your role.

Laboratory Technology for Dummies
Do you or your colleagues—for example in HR, sales, administration, or marketing and communications—work with laboratory processes but have never worked in a lab yourselves? Laboratory Technology for Dummies offers an accessible introduction to the lab world. You will be introduced to clinical chemistry, microbiology, analytical chemistry, and food research, and learn to understand commonly used technical terms, equipment, and processes. This will enable you to communicate more easily and effectively about laboratory work in the future, both within and outside the organization.
