TECHNOLOGY THURSDAY - The Thermal Properties of our FR4 Material

In a previous issue of Technology Thursday we looked at the intricacies of the widely used base material FR-4.

A key point was that FR-4 is a diverse family of laminates and that there are significant differences in the material parameters of the various FR-4 types.

Selecting the appropriate type becomes a critical task for hardware engineers and PCB designers to ensure optimum quality during the thermal processes of PCB assembly and the product's targeted life cycle.
